About
Property management software built for Canada
Manhattin is one platform for running rental property — rent, leasing, maintenance, communication and accounting — for landlords, property managers and their teams from Montreal to Vancouver.
What we do
Manhattin sells and operates a single web and mobile platform for running rental property. One account covers a whole portfolio: several organizations, several buildings, and every role that touches them — owners, property managers, assistant managers, accountants, leasing agents, marketing staff, maintenance crews, housekeepers, concierges, vendors and tenants.
Each role gets its own workspace rather than a filtered view of an administrator console. A tenant sees rent, requests, packages and documents. A maintenance technician sees a work queue. An owner sees statements and occupancy. The same underlying record serves all of them, so nobody re-keys anything.
Why Canada specifically
Most property management software is written for United States rental law and then re-labelled for other markets. Manhattin is designed the other way around: Quebec lease forms and the Tribunal administratif du logement, provincial notice periods and rent increase rules, Canadian payment rails such as Interac e-Transfer and pre-authorised debit, and Canadian tax handling.
Notices, leases and statements are produced in English or French with the wording each province expects, rather than a machine translation of an American template.
How it is built
Manhattin is a web application with native iOS and Android apps for tenants and onsite staff. Data is scoped per organization and enforced in the database with row-level security, not only in the application layer, so a defect in one screen cannot expose another customer's records.
Property websites are published from the same data as the manager's vacancy list, which is why a public listing page and the internal record never disagree. That data is also available over a documented API for teams who prefer to build their own front end.
Languages and accessibility
The interface, notifications, emails and generated documents run in English, French and Spanish. Language follows the person rather than the account, so a bilingual building can send one notice and have each tenant read it in the language they chose.
Dates, currency and number formats follow the reader's locale instead of a hardcoded default, and the interface is built to be usable with a keyboard and a screen reader.
